Grant Application

The Berkshire Coalition for Suicide Prevention (BCSP) was established as a regional coalition of the Massachusetts Coalition for Suicide Prevention (MCSP) in 2009 with a mission of reducing self-harm and suicides. The mission of Berkshire Coalition for Suicide Prevention is to save lives. Together we can build resilience in our community, educate the public, and strengthen the response to community need.

Examples of grant applications may be:

  • Beginning a program or event in a community or workplace

  • Paying for training for an individual or group when there is no other source of funding

  • Connecting children and community members with local resources and programs

  • Initiatives that will create awareness for mental health and the need for suicide prevention

No grant awarded will exceed $5,000.

Applications for grants that will impact youth are especially encouraged. If you are submitting a request for funding for a program or event that will be annual, monthly, or recurring, please indicate how you intend that program or event to be funded in the future. The BCSP grants are not intended to continually fund the same initiatives, but rather provide the initial funding to get started.

Grants will be awarded at the discretion of the BCSP Board of Directors. The full application may be approved, a portion of the application may be approved, or the application may be denied. It is possible that there are higher priority applications in that quarter in which the impact is greater and the community reach is further. If your application is not approved in one quarter, you may resubmit during another quarter.
