Nov 3, 2015
7:45 AM to 2:30 PM
Lenox Memorial Middle and High School

The PLN’s for Guidance Counselors, School Adjustment Counselors, School Psychologists and School Nurses will join together for professional development on the topic of Psychological First Aid. Jim McCauley, LICSW, from Riverside Trauma Center will provide the training. The goal of this comprehensive training is to prepare individuals to deliver basic behavioral health disaster response following large-scale disasters or smaller scale critical incidents such as homicide, suicide, accidental death, and similarly distressing events. Participants will be presented with an overview of trauma, the human stress response and grief reactions, and how these inform interventions with distressed individuals.

This training has been made possible with the support of the Berkshire County Superintendent’s Roundtable and the Berkshire Coalition for Suicide Prevention.
