FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions Concerning Conference/Registration
1. Will there be Walk-In Registration?
We're very sorry but there is NO Walk-In Registration - Because of limited space, provided meals and because the conference usually is filled each year so we can not allow Walk-Ins.
2. How do I register Online?
Please have your Credit Card/Paypal/ApplePay information ready and click our Online registration link. Select whether you will be attending the conference for credits ($60.00) or with no credits ($30.00). Select your breakout section topic Adult or Youth Topic (See detailed agenda on "Conference Info" page for specifics). If you are registering for credit please select the discipline and enter your license information (state and license# - those are required by credit authorizing authorities). Enter billing info and payment info and you will receive a confirmation email upon completion of registration. Just print and bring with you!
3. How do I register using a Purchase Order?
Please contact PO@berkshirecoalition.org with your contact information, whether or not you are attending for credits, your work email and specific agency/school providing payment and their billing information. We will provide you the information required to complete your online registration. Note your work email must be used during registration. If your agency/school is not paying for your credit hours you must specify this in email and you will be paying for those at time of registration (NOTE: Our apologies but if payment is not received from agency you are responsible for costs incurred)
5. How do I register using mail in with a check?
You can download our Conference Brochure, print page 4 and complete all information on form. Make check payable to: NAMI-BC (Add in note field on check: BCSP Conference Registration). Mail to: NAMI-BC, Attn: June Conference, 333 East St. Rm. 417, Pittsfield, MA 01201
Only if we receive your check and registration form will you be registered and receive a confirmation email. Because of first come-first served registration we are required to limit mail-in to postmarked May 15th (or until conference fills). If you do not receive your confirmation email within 2 days of mailing you need to email us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org. NOTE: We can not be held responsible for slow mail delivery/undelivered mail and have provided secure means to complete online registration with credit card, PayPal and ApplePay to avoid that.
6. Can I register by phone?
At this time we do not offer phone in registrations because of the extra costs incurred for on-call staff. Also there is required paperwork for registration (confirmation emails, confirmation of policies etc) that is provided using current resources. To keep conference and CEU costs at their lowest we have implemented both online and mail-in registration to provide others an easy means to register
7. How can I get a scholarship to waiver registration fee?
There are a limited number of scholarships available and are first-come/first-served availability. Please contact us immediately at email@example.com for more information. Note: The scholarship only covers the cost for registration ($30.00), it does not cover costs for Credits, that will be your responsibility. If you have a scholarship and are unable to attend please notify us immediately so we can make your scholarship available for someone else. Our apologies but with cancellation within 48 hours of conference it is your responsibility to find someone to take your place or cover the costs for not attending.
8. What if I used the wrong email?
All processing (ie confirmations/cancellations etc) are done through your email address. If you used the wrong email please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org.
9. I haven't received a confirmation email for registration yet, what should I do?
If you registered and have not received a confirmation please contact us at email@example.com. Note: You will receive an immediate email confirmation upon online payment and an email confirmation for all mail in registrations only after check/registration form is received.
10. Can I take credits for multiple disciplines?
Yes! We have been ok'd by Berkshire AHEC and the accrediting agencies to allow dual credits. You will be responsible for cost of conference registration $30 as well as the cost for each discipline's certificate (1 certificate = additional $30, two certificates = additional $60 etc). Please register and pay for the Conference with Credits for one of the disciplines (You can only choose one discipline for initial registration - enter state and license number for that discipline). Once completed and you receive your confirmation email just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and confirmation number. We will provide you a code to waiver the registration fee for 2nd registration so that you are only responsible for payment of additional credit hours for 2nd certificate. Note: In order to receive any credit hours you are still responsible to attend the entire conference (no partial credits awarded), must sign-in and sign-out for each discipline (they will have separate sign-in sheets), and must complete an evaluation form for both disciplines.
11. What should I do if the June conference fills?
Once conference fills we will post a Waiting List Registration. If a seat becomes available we will open to list in order of registration. There is no walk-in registration so please do not show the day of the conference unless you have preregistered/prepaid and have received a confirmation email.
12. What if I have to cancel/can not attend?
Please contact us immediately at email@example.com with your registration information so we can make your seat available. We can not refund costs if done within 48 hours of conference - you are responsible for full costs at that time. You can send someone in your place but logistics for payment are between you and your replacement. Please notify us if someone else will be taking your seat.
13. How many credit hours are you offering?
UPDATE 5/24/2017: Continuing Ed. Credit approvals:
- Substance Abuse Counselor (7.0 approved)
- Rehabilitation Counselor (6.75 approved)
- Psychology (7.0 approved)
- Nursing (7.0 approved)
- LMHC (7.0 approved)
- Social Work (7.0 approved)
- LMFT (7.0 approved)
At this time we have applied for approved credit hours only in the disciplines listed on our conference information page. We have asked for a days worth of credit hours but until approved by the authorizing agency for that discipline we do not know the exact number of hours (approx 7 hours based on total hours of conference). Note: There are no partial credit hours offered. You must attend the complete conference, and are responsible to sign-in at start of conference (by 8 AM) and sign out at close of conference (4:30 PM) and complete a conference evaluation form to be awarded credit hours. You are still held responsible for costs incurred if you do not meet these requirements.
